The decision was finalized during an extensive meeting between ministry leadership and a delegation from the Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Higher Education to enhance academic collaboration and resolve administrative obstacles.

Both parties agreed to increase undergraduate capacity from 400 to 1,000 seats, and postgraduate capacity from 100 to 250 seats, reaffirming institutional coordination for student verification and credit equivalency.
