The Federal Commission of Integrity revealed on Sunday the apprehension of a Mosul Municipality employee caught red-handed receiving a financial bribe. In an official statement, the Commission explained that a specialized team from the Nineveh Investigation Directorate conducted an operation at the Al-Ghazlani Municipal Sector, successfully catching the employee after he requested and received money from a citizen's representative. The bribe was in exchange for processing a property co-ownership transaction and issuing a tax clearance for the heirs. The Commission confirmed that the bribe money was seized inside the suspect's office, noting that the competent judge at the Nineveh Investigation Court for Integrity Issues ordered the suspect's detention in accordance with applicable legal procedures, following the preparation of a formal seizure report.
