dijlahpoint - The Federal Integrity Commission announced on Friday (September 11, 2026) that it arrested the director of the investment department at Tikrit Municipality on charges of promoting investment transactions and granting land plots outside legal controls.

The commission said in a statement that it arrested the investment department director and seized a number of priority documents related to Tikrit Municipality at his residence, in addition to amounts of money in Iraqi dinars and US dollars and a collection of gold jewelry.

The commission indicated that the arrest was carried out through an arrest warrant issued by the investigating judge of the Salahuddin Integrity Court, explaining that the accused deliberately violated his job duties with the intent of achieving personal benefit at the expense of the state.
