dijlahpoint - The Federal Integrity Commission announced on Monday the issuance of an in-presence judicial ruling sentencing a former official in the Nasiriyah Municipality Directorate in Dhi Qar Governorate to six years in prison. The sentence followed his conviction for receiving bribes and manipulating the allocation and ownership transactions of land plots belonging to the directorate. Investigations revealed the convict's involvement in forging official documents, deeds, and residential property sales correspondences in violation of regulations. The arrest was carried out in cooperation with relevant security authorities, yielding hundreds of forged documents and deeds, leading the court to issue its verdict based on the provisions of Resolution (160 of 1983) following conclusive evidence and the convict's confessions.
