The Ministry of Interior issued an official statement regarding the horrific traffic accident in Kirkuk Governorate, urging all vehicle drivers to strictly adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations.

According to the statement, a tragic accident occurred on Sunday evening in the "Darwaza" area on the road linking the Kirkuk and Sulaymaniyah governorates. The Ministry explained that the incident was caused by a total loss of control over a large cement transport truck, which subsequently collided violently with 30 other vehicles.

The Ministry confirmed that the tragedy unfortunately resulted in the deaths of six citizens and left 22 others with varying injuries, in addition to causing severe material damage to the involved vehicles.

The Ministry, led by the Minister of Interior, extended its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased, praying for mercy for the victims and a speedy recovery for the injured.

Concluding its statement, the Ministry issued a stern warning to all drivers, emphasizing the absolute necessity of complying with traffic laws and safety conditions to prevent reckless actions that endanger innocent lives and destroy property. The Ministry vowed not to show any leniency, promising to take rigorous and deterrent legal measures against traffic system violators to preserve public safety and the lives of citizens.
