The Ministry of Interior announced a notable 18% decline in overall crime rates during the first half of this year compared to previous periods. In an official press conference, the ministry detailed significant security milestones, including the seizure of nearly two tons of illicit narcotics and the arrest of over 3,500 drug-related suspects, several of whom have received death sentences or life imprisonment. The ministry also highlighted the execution of international security operations in coordination with neighboring and regional countries to dismantle global smuggling rings. Additionally, law enforcement efforts led to the arrest of hundreds of individuals involved in armed tribal conflicts, promoting extremist ideologies, and antiquities smuggling, alongside dozens arrested for cyber-extortion and financial fraud. Over two million traffic violations were also registered to bolster public safety.
