Iraq Considers Strategic Options to Secure Increased Production Quota Within OPEC

Responsible sources in the Iraqi Ministry of Oil revealed that Baghdad is studying all available options should it not secure a significant increase in its production quota within OPEC, to counter severe financial pressures resulting from the decline in oil exports due to recent regional tensions. Despite rumors regarding Iraq's potential withdrawal from the organization, the official stance leans towards remaining and intensifying diplomatic efforts to obtain a quota commensurate with the country's oil capabilities. This approach coincides with the gradual resumption of production operations by foreign companies in the Kurdistan Region after repairing infrastructure damage caused by recent attacks. The Iraqi government, whose budget relies 90% on oil revenues, is banking on security stability and the return of export rates to normal in the coming months to overcome the current financial crisis and achieve economic stability.
