Security sources reported on Saturday (May 30, 2026) that a massive fire broke out inside a commercial complex located on Ahmed Al-Waeli Street in the center of Karbala Governorate, resulting in significant damage to parts of the building. Civil defense teams were immediately mobilized upon receiving the alert and are continuing their intensive efforts to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent commercial and residential buildings.
