The Ministry of Agriculture announced the seizure of large quantities of imported manufactured fats, which are banned from entering the country, inside a refrigerated truck in the Fadhiliya area of Baghdad. The operation was carried out by the Veterinary Directorate in cooperation with specialized security authorities, intercepting the materials arriving through border crossings before they reached local markets. The Ministry clarified that these substances pose a direct threat to public health as they are unfit for human consumption, confirming that the confiscated goods will be destroyed under judicial orders while inspection campaigns continue to protect citizens' health.
