Dijlah Point - The Head of the Najaf Provincial Council, Hussein Al-Isawi, called on the Iraqi government to reconsider its approval of implementing US sanctions against Iranian airlines at Najaf Airport. In an official statement, Al-Isawi explained that the flight ban carries negative economic repercussions for the province and worsens the suffering of students, patients, merchants, and visitors. Notably, the Najaf Airport administration had earlier announced the suspension of Iranian airline flights in compliance with the imposed sanctions.
