Detachments of the National Security Service in Anbar Province successfully dismantled a large network involved in drug trafficking and promotion on Friday, arresting 50 of its members following meticulous intelligence and tracking efforts. Security sources stated that the operation began after monitoring the suspicious movements of the network's members. After obtaining judicial approvals, one element was caught red-handed in possession of narcotics prepared for distribution, which paved the way for tracking down and arresting the remaining members. Investigations revealed a secret laboratory for manufacturing narcotic pills, which was entirely seized, thereby thwarting the network's activities and preventing the distribution of large quantities of toxins. The comprehensive operation resulted in the confiscation of more than 2.5 kilograms of crystal meth and approximately 15,000 narcotic pills. All suspects were referred to the competent judicial authorities for strict legal action.
