The Supreme Committee for Million-Strong Pilgrimages held its first coordinating meeting, chaired by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, to discuss and coordinate comprehensive preparations for the commemoration of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him). The meeting included high-ranking security and military leaders from the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the Popular Mobilization Forces, relevant operations and police commands, in addition to representatives of intelligence agencies. During the gathering, plans to secure the safety and movement of millions of pilgrims arriving from inside and outside the country heading towards the holy shrines were reviewed. The meeting resulted in the issuance of decisive directives and the approval of flexible recommendations adaptable to field developments, with a precise definition of responsibilities and timelines to ensure the successful and smooth progression of the pilgrimage.
