The specialized committee for the destruction of narcotics and psychotropic substances announced the execution of a large-scale operation to destroy vast quantities of seized drugs held at the forensic medicine departments in Basra Governorate. The operation was conducted under direct judicial supervision and in coordination with health and security authorities. It included the destruction of approximately 240 kilograms of various narcotic substances, in addition to thousands of illicit pills and hundreds of bottles containing misused medical narcotic liquids. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to enforce strict legal procedures and shield society from the scourge of drugs.
