A medical source in Wasit Health Department reported on Friday (May 8, 2026) the death of a woman and her son, and the injury of two others in critical condition, as a result of a traffic accident that occurred on Al-Kut - Al-Hay road.

The source stated that the accident resulted in casualties, most of whom were from one family.

He noted that the injured were transferred to the hospital to receive necessary treatment, while legal procedures related to the deceased were undertaken.
