dijlahpoint - The spokesman of the Saudi-led coalition forces, Colonel Turki Al-Maliki, announced on Tuesday (September 15, 2026) that the areas of Khamis Mushait, Abha and Taif came under attacks carried out by Ansar Allah (the Houthis) using ballistic missiles and drones. In a statement, Al-Maliki said the attacks left 13 civilians injured, with material damage affecting 7 residential houses and two vehicles, stressing that the continued deliberate assaults reflect the group's approach of escalation and targeting civilian objects and residents. He affirmed that the coalition forces will deal with these attacks with responsibility and firmness, and will take all necessary operational measures to deter the group and protect civilians and facilities. This comes after the group's spokesman, Brigadier Yahya Saree, announced on Monday the targeting of an air base in Khamis Mushait with ballistic missiles and drones, amid an escalating military escalation in the Yemeni file following the Houthis' announcement in mid-July of ending the de-escalation phase in place since late 2022, against the backdrop of airstrikes that targeted Sanaa International Airport before the landing of an Iranian plane carrying a delegation of the group.
