dijlahpoint - First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Adnan Fayhan Al-Dulaimi, discussed today, Sunday (September 20, 2026), with a number of relevant authorities the amendments to the Yazidi Survivors Law and other components, in preparation for its enactment.

According to Al-Dulaimi's media office statement, "The First Deputy held an expanded meeting attended by MP Mukhtar Al-Mousawi and representatives of the Executive Order Committee for abductees, the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, during which the importance of parliamentary-governmental coordination was emphasized to expedite the completion of discussions on the legal amendment and present it for a vote in upcoming sessions."

The statement added that "Al-Dulaimi stressed the need to unify and verify data to address files related to the amendment and ensure the inclusion of all eligible victims in accordance with legal frameworks."
