dijlahpoint - The Central Criminal Court issued today, Sunday (September 20, 2026), two prison and detention sentences against two convicts belonging to the deviant "Al-Qurban" group.

A judicial statement noted that "the first convict holds a deviant religious ideology and incited the second convict to commit suicide, for which he was sentenced to six years in prison pursuant to Article 9 of Law No. 32 of 2016 banning the Baath Party and racist, terrorist, and takfiri entities, parties, and activities, and in reference to Articles 47, 48, and 49 of the Penal Code."

The statement added that "the court issued a second sentence of simple imprisonment for one year against the second convict, pursuant to Article 9 of the same law, with reference to Article 132/3 of the Penal Code."
