The Military Intelligence Directorate issued strict directives on Friday prohibiting all its personnel from appearing in the media, emphasizing the necessity of adhering to legal and official procedures by scheduling periodic meetings with commanders to address complaints and demands. The Director of Military Intelligence, Staff Lieutenant General Hassan Al-Silawi, explained that the issued orders forbid media appearances to prevent tarnishing the reputation of the military institution, describing it as an unprofessional practice. He noted that higher directives from the Army Chief of Staff require personnel to submit their grievances through the military chain of command, in addition to organizing weekly and monthly interviews with commanders. Al-Silawi added that clear instructions have been circulated to all intelligence directors and officers to hold continuous meetings with soldiers to listen to their demands and resolve them properly.
