dijlahpoint - Diyala Police Command announced today, Sunday (September 20, 2026), the arrest of a wanted suspect under Article 4 (Terrorism) in Al-Abbara district of the province.

The command stated in a statement that "the arrest operation was conducted under the direct supervision of Diyala Police Chief, Major General Mohammed Kazem Atiya, where detachments of Al-Abbara Police Department, in cooperation with Diyala Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Directorate detachments, managed to apprehend the suspect."

It added that "the operation was carried out based on accurate intelligence information and field follow-up," noting that "the necessary legal procedures were taken against the suspect and he was referred to the competent authorities to complete the investigation."
