dijlahpoint - The Karbala Operations Command carried out today, Sunday (September 20, 2026), a wide-ranging field inspection operation covering the Ain Al-Tamar district sector and the flanks of Razzaza Lake to enhance security stability in the province.

A security source stated that "the operation came under the direction of Karbala Operations Commander, Lieutenant General Ali Ghazi Al-Hashimi, with field supervision by the deputy operations commander and the provincial police chief, with the participation of joint formations including the 33rd Infantry Brigade, the Commandos Brigade, and police emergency regiments, in addition to intelligence units and the Popular Mobilization Forces, supported by army aviation."

The source added that "the duty aims to sweep remote areas, impose security and stability, and provide a safe environment befitting the religious significance and special status of the holy city of Karbala."
