Integrity Commission Announces Issuance of Two In-Absentia Rulings Sentencing Former Salah Al-Din Governor to 14 Years in Prison

dijlahpoint - The Federal Integrity Commission announced the issuance of two in-absentia judicial rulings sentencing the former governor of Salah Al-Din to prison, against the backdrop of his conviction for deliberately causing damage to the funds and interests of the entity in which he worked.

The commission clarified that the Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court issued two prison sentences of seven years each against the convict in accordance with the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code to be executed consecutively, against the backdrop of violating legal controls and instructions in awarding a tender for two contracts he concluded with private companies.

The court confirmed the availability of sufficient and convincing evidence for conviction, bringing the total rulings issued against him to 14 years, in addition to previous decisions to place precautionary seizure on his movable and immovable funds.
